Copper Mountain Real Estate
Once only a winter destination for the dedicated skier, Copper Mountain has transformed into a year-round resort community with endless recreational activities and an emphasis on quality of life. Nestled in a canyon along Interstate 70 between Frisco and Vail, are several villages, which make up this former mining area, offering all the comforts of a bustling city while upholding the traditions of a close-knit small town.
The Village at Copper, Union Creek and East Village each provide their own unique features but all are within an easy walk from the lifts. More than 2,400 acres greet skiers and snowboarders who are itching to enjoy the exhilarating rush of carving down the mountain. Skiing may be a favorite activity for many of the residents, but they enjoy other winter sports as well. Copper Mountain draws some of the region’s best athletes for a number of high-profile competitions including the USASA Nationals, U.S. Snowboarding Revolution Tour, Copper Series-Superpipe/SlopeStyle, USSA Revolution Tour, US Freeskiing Open and the Colorado Special Olympics Winter Games.
Winter isn’t the only time for residents to enjoy the mountainous terrain. Warmer months persuade people to hike, bike and fish. Other activities include rafting and hot air balloon rides available in neighboring villages. For family-friendly activities, the community also hosts Colorado’s largest Easter Egg Hunt and En Fuego, a regular bonfire celebration with street performers, a torchlight parade and fireworks display.
